It’s Chemistry for beginners!
In a great mix of fun and learning, kids will conduct interesting experiments to help understand the basic chemical properties of common substances.

Week 1 – Elementary Elements
With this lesson, students will build and create using basic materials. They will
begin to experiment with the concept that all matter is made up of elements that
provide structure to the world around us.
Week 2 – Measurement
Students will conduct experiments using rulers and tapes and other measuring
devices to evaluate and compare things around them in their everyday world.
Week 3 – Phases/States of Matter
Solids, liquids and gasses – Oh My! Hands on activities and experiments will be
used to introduce students to the playful states of matter.
Week 4 – Mixing
This class will allow children the opportunity to mix things up! Children will make
their own special concoctions and potions using common ingredients and materials.
Week 5 – Reactions
Exciting explosions from simple reactions will allow students an opportunity to
explore, discover, and nurture their curiosity about the world around them.
Week 6 – Cooking
Many important science concepts will be put to good use in this class designed for
preschoolers! Measuring, mixing, pouring, decorating.....it may get messy but
that’s all part of the fun!
