November and December
For the months of November and December we will be offering a six week course continuing to explore physical computing skills in our classes.
Through a series of hands on exploration, experimenting, prototyping, and building up our skillsets students of all ages will move their skills from beginner to intermediate levels.
All classes will continue to use Arduino as our foundation of learning computational thinking, coding, and physical computing. One of our core beliefs is to help students move beyond surface level learning and application. With another round of learning with the same device, but developing new projects and learning goals students will be able to move from simple coding and building into more complex designs.
For grades 6-8 we will be using our Arduino kits to create a physical computing project to challenge our ideas. We will also be exploring 3D printing at a very basic level. Some projects to be explored include the following but not limited to:
3D print a cookie cutter for the holidays
3D printed holiday tree topper with programmable features
Arduino Holiday Lights (if time permits)
Classes will be held on the following dates
